DESCRIPTION:
The Office of Information Technology provides a broad range of enterprise technologies supporting the citizens of Maine. This position is ideal for a qualified professional with proven experience administering Microsoft 365 services and Windows Server operating systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
In this role, you will manage and administer Microsoft 365, Directory Services, File Services Support, Patch Management as a key member of the team. The position is responsible for maintaining and tracking assets associated with all Windows servers across the enterprise, as well as managing our Workday Active Directory connections. It also oversees the configuration and implementation of CIS benchmarks (Center for Internet Security) for the Windows server environment, which is critical to strengthening our security posture. You will handle requests, communicate professionally, collaborate effectively, and have opportunities to work across additional technical areas.
The team provides enterprise hosting and technical services to agencies and operates within the Computing Infrastructure & Services Group. Technology support includes Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Teams, MECM, Directory Services, Enterprise Backup and Storage, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, SQL Server, IIS, SharePoint, and various COTS applications. Work is performed under supervision, based in Augusta, and requires participation in a 24x7 On-Call rotation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will manage technical work with limited supervision, including:
• M365 administration (licensing, user management, password policies, service health, service requests)
• Performing system administration across Active Directory, File/Print Services, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server
• Developing and maintaining login and PowerShell scripts
• Administering and supporting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Managing file storage permissions
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
• Responding to help desk escalations
• Performing hardware/software upgrades
• Planning and executing system growth and expansion
• Managing and troubleshooting licensing issues
• Handling billing responsibilities
• Working with Microsoft Premier Support on open cases
• Building, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments (VMware ESXi or physical)
• Mentoring team members
• Designing and implementing system security measures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 5 years of a combination of related post-secondary education, technical certifications, or technology related work experience.
