Our team is looking for a senior member of our Bureau management team to provide oversight of data management and IT systems improvement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of directing quality assurance and service improvement activities and will be able to demonstrate understanding and experience integrating technologies and processes that reflect current best practice.

Primary Tasks

  • Assist in the formulation of bureau-wide strategic planning goals and objectives with oversight of data management and IT systems
  • Direct bureau-wide quality improvement and service improvement activities
  • Advising executive management concerning the impact of state and federal regulations
  • Consults with other bureaus for system efficiencies and alignment
  • Identifying program deficiencies and advising the other BRS Divisions on the development of appropriate corrective actions
  • Oversee bureau-wide contract monitoring and RFPs
  • With other Division Directors oversee rule changes and implementation
  • Ensure accurate and timely federal and state reporting
  • Direct supervision of division staff

Knowledge Areas

  • Knowledge of federal and state rules, regulations and programs for people with disabilities
  • Knowledge of grant and contract preparation and administration
  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate multiple, diverse programs and activities
  • Ability to make decisions and problem solve based on analysis of data
  • Ability to write clearly and communicate effectively
  • Ability to support and supervise staff effectively to reach program outcomes
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and explain federal and state policies, procedures, and guidelines

Minimum qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Work and/or Rehabilitation Services and (6) years of progressively responsible experience in business/program management that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of current systems improvement and project management concepts and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans for a major public service delivery system, which includes a minimum of two (2) years experience in an administrative, supervisory, or consultative capacity and two (2) years of experience in supervising professional staff providing social services and/or rehabilitation services programs is required.

A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Rehabilitation Services may be substituted for up to (2) years of required work experience.

Preference will be given to those applicants:

  • Knowledge of rehabilitation services
  • Knowledge of current best practice in generative artificial intelligence
  • Knowledge of best practice in leadership – including adaptive leadership.
