Description
MIND Education is dedicated to research on learning, the brain, and developing effective math education programs, resources, and services. MIND's uniquely visual math education process engages the learner's spatial-temporal reasoning abilities to explain, understand, and solve multi-step problems. We are currently seeking a technologist to join our team to partner with curriculum writers and bring their designs to life in our digital platform. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technical markup languages like JSON and XML or lightweight coding languages like HTML. The Instructional Technology Consultant will author JSON objects from lesson design outlines. This is a part-time position.
What can you expect to work on?
- Inputting content into a curriculum management system, including creating and editing JSON files.
- Testing newly created lessons to ensure they function, and partnering with editors and other team members to modify and refine the lessons in the CMS.
- Solving problems and refining processes to build innovative lessons in an efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and editing files using a markup language such as JSON or XML or software development
- Highly skilled in Google Suite (i.e., Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Able to manage projects and meet timeline requirements
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view and be solution-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledgeable about instructional pedagogy
Additional areas of expertise preferred but not required
- Teaching experience
- Experience with Javascript
- Experience with HTML

This part-time position (up to 25 hours a week) is part of the Product Team. This is a fully remote role and can be anywhere in the United States, as long as you don't mind turning on your webcam to build a rapport, even from a distance.
