To that end, Merit America is looking for a Product Manager, AI Applications.
About the Role:
The primary mission of the Product Manager, AI Applications is to discover needs that we can effectively address with AI (both home-grown and off-the-shelf tools), lead our product execution, and contribute to our overall product strategy to scale Merit America’s impact.
Through a deep understanding of our learners, our coaches, their user journeys, jobs-to-be-done, and pain points, this leader will make AI product investment and program augmentation recommendations to the Executive Team, define goals and success metrics based on the resulting product investment decisions, collaborate with engineering, design and AI service providers, build and ship the product, and measure the outcomes.
The Product Manager, AI Applications is an exempt position and will report directly to our Chief Product Officer, Jen Mazzon, and work across engineering, design, program experience, and operations teams at Merit America, and with external AI service provider partners.
What You'll be Doing:
The responsibilities of the Product Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop a shared understanding of how we can and should use AI effectively to drive impact for learner outcomes
- Discover and validate problems, needs, and pain points that AI product investments can solve at scale
- Define objectives and key results / metrics for the AI product initiatives you are driving to measure their success / impact
- Stay up to date on the latest trends, advising other teams on AI applications, sharing relevant trainings/resources, and building internal familiarity with and understanding of how to leverage AI across the organization.
Execution
- Provide user-focused rationale for product definition that guides product design decisions
- Collect and synthesize user feedback and ideas, both within our team and community of learners
- Dig into issues that block team execution and keep up development team momentum by stepping up to help with resolution and escalating where needed
- Partner closely with engineers, designers and AI service provider partners to build solutions that achieve the intended impact
Communication
- Communicate the strategy and importance to the company of the AI initiatives you are driving to achieve team alignment
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to clarify questions and points of confusion with a given set of AI product initiatives
- Set and communicate clear expectations for AI product initiatives, both internally on the development team and with cross-functional stakeholders

- Familiarity with the current state-of-the-art ML capabilities and AI offerings

- This position is full time: 4-day work week (Fridays are an operating day if there is a holiday closure during the week)
- Location: Remote
- Salary : $155,800
