Meedan seeks a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Go-To-Market & User Insights Lead to drive adoption, growth, and impact for our global technology products in the Larger World. The successful candidate will bridge go-to-market strategy, user research, and product positioning to ensure our tools are embraced by independent media and civil society organizations across North Africa/Western Asia, Asia-Pacific and Latin America/Caribbean. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine deep listening to communities with sharp product storytelling and execution, building strategies that accelerate uptake and scale.
We are a global not-for-profit that helps independent media and civil society organizations exchange critical information with communities through AI-powered interactions on messaging apps. We design programs that help improve the exchange of quality information in communities. Our work has won multiple awards for collaborative project design around the world. Our software allows journalists and other information leaders to communicate directly with their audiences on closed messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Viber.
As our Senior Go-To-Market & User Insights Lead, you will be responsible for developing adoption strategies, conducting research to understand target users and partners, shaping product positioning, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure launches land with impact. You’ll partner with product, program, communication and research teams to define market entry strategies (including pricing), onboard new partners, and craft the stories and frameworks that show how our technology transforms information exchange.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in go-to-market, product marketing, or product strategy roles.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing GTM strategies for new products or features.
- Experience combining user research and product insights to shape positioning and messaging.
Preferred but not required
- Experience designing for multilingual communities in diverse global geographies.
- Experience in journalism, civic tech, human rights, or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with human rights or user rights-based frameworks for technology development preferred
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt for technical, funder, and community audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead initiatives from concept to execution in a resource-constrained environment.
Key Responsibilities
Go-To-Market Strategy
- Lead GTM planning for new features and products, from positioning to launch to post-launch adoption.
- Define value propositions and messaging frameworks that resonate with journalists, civil society organizations, and the communities they serve.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and program leads to ensure product readiness and impact.
- Develop onboarding strategies and resources for partners adopting Meedan’s tools.
- Build playbooks and repeatable processes for scaling adoption across regions.
User & Market Insights
- Conduct research to deeply understand target users, their pain points, and market opportunities.
- Map user journeys and partner workflows to identify barriers to adoption and design solutions.
- Gather and analyze feedback from pilot deployments and iterate GTM strategies accordingly.
- Track usage, adoption metrics, and market trends to inform roadmap and program direction.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with program staff to tailor GTM strategies for local contexts and languages.
- Collaborate with research team on user testing methodologies and incorporating user rights considerations in design
- Work closely with communications to align product launches with broader storytelling and media strategies.
- Work with the fundraising team to equip funder conversations with strong product narratives and success metrics.
