Lemontree runs a food helpline that connects hungry folks to free food. We're recruiting a weekend customer service specialist to support the clients on our text message helpline, with a start date in March. You'll be on the front lines, helping people in need get access to food. This is incredibly rewarding work. A typical day will involve fielding inbound texts (some calls) & referring neighbors in need to free food resources.

In every interaction, we seek to treat clients with the respect and empathy they deserve. That means that we don't rush to finish a conversation; instead we listen and learn from every single person. And, it goes without saying that we never talk down to a client.

Qualifications:

• Fully bilingual in English & Spanish. Must have strong speaking, reading, and writing skills in both languages.
• Strong interpersonal skills & customer service instinct
• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
• Self-aware, humble, and patient
• Deep empathy & respect for those in need
• Comfortable with using & learning new technology
• Strong/stable internet connection & computer, with a quiet place to work

We are seeking a new team member to work 3 days (24 hours per week), at $15 per hour. The ideal candidate should be available to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and one additional weekday from 10 AM to 6 PM ET, with an early August start date. We appreciate flexibility in your schedule and the ability to take on additional hours as needed. The position requires you to be based in the United States and available during Eastern Standard Time business hours.
