About Learn Fresh

Learn Fresh is a transformative nonprofit that empowers educators with innovative STEM and social-emotional learning experiences built around sports and entertainment. Learn Fresh programs focus on achieving equitable representation across the STEM pipeline for girls, students of color, and those living in low-income communities. Students who engage in Learn Fresh programs discover a new way of learning that is fun, highly engaging, and results in academic and social-emotional growth. To date, our programming has engaged over 1,000,000 students across the US and beyond. Learn Fresh programs include NBA Math Hoops, MLB Players STEM League, MLS STEM Goals, and Eco Tour.


About the Role

As Program Events Associate, you work in tandem with our Chief Program Officer and Manager of Program Events to execute all Learn Fresh events across programs. Learn Fresh community initiatives, like NBA Math Hoops and MLB Players STEM League, have engaged over 1,000,000 students in cities from coast to coast - New York, Milwaukee, San Antonio, and San Francisco to name a few.


Responsibilities

  • Communicate with educators, schools and programs leading up to all program events

  • Assist and/or lead program events from organization to execution

  • Work with the Learn Fresh Program Team in curating the educator experience, ensuring a positive and well-supported experience while participating in our programs

  • Travel required to assist with local/state/national/international Learn Fresh events


Skills Required

  • High energy and stamina

  • A positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills

  • Performs well under pressure

  • Ability to efficiently multitask and stay flexible with event schedule

  • Extraordinarily timely and persistent communicator

  • Experience coordinating events with youth is a plus

  • Must be able to structure time independently and self-motivate to complete tasks

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and succinctly over phone and email

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is necessary

  • Ability to think creatively while following established structures

  • Team-player who can also work independently


Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $35,000 - $40,000

Salary is variable based upon experience.
