Position Information

In January 2025, Kiron will launch a new program, aiming to equip 20 young refugees in Berlin with leadership skills, strategic networks, and intercultural communication skills to enable them to contribute to a fairer and more sustainable society.

About the Role

The Program Lead will be the face of the program, lead the overall planning, execution, and management of the program, ensure a smooth delivery of the curriculum, workshops, and in-person networking events, and establish a fruitful network of partners, speakers and potential employers.

Your Tasks

Program design and implementation:

  • Overall program design incl. curriculum, outreach + partnership strategy, group formation strategy

  • Overseeing deliverables and milestones

  • Internal communication and external stakeholder management, incl. partnership building and networking

  • Budget oversight (and management)


Oversight of the following responsibilities & management of junior project manager on:

  • project management & reporting

  • event management

  • event facilitation

  • participant recruitment

  • coordination of guest speakers

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is...

  • An inclusive and interculturally competent leader, able to bring different personalities and interest groups together

  • A self-starter with a hands-on mentality

  • Fluent in German (native speaker or at least C1) and has advanced English skills

  • Familiar with refugee-related issues in relation to the socio-political landscape in Germany, the German job market and integration strategies being used by institutions and other organisations as well as the German higher education system

  • Experienced with program management, ideally around digital education/career programs and with a special focus on refugees

Ideally you also have...

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders

  • Experience with educational work and/or group/team facilitation, or developing and coaching leadership and soft skills training programs

  • Experience with project management, milestone tracking & reporting with different donors

  • Background in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management

The salary range foreseen for this role is 4000-4400 Euros / monthly for a full-time position, depending on previous experience.
