Our team is looking to welcome a mature, motivated, mission-driven Public Health Associate to join Khushi Baby
Responsibilities:
- Developing and sustaining productive partnerships with the Health Department of Government is essential. Building a strong professional rapport with the government health authorities is crucial for successful collaboration and positive outcomes.
- Act as a bridge between Khushi Baby, development partners and the Government to ensure smooth collaboration, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate discussions, negotiations, and agreements to secure government support and resources for the CHIP platform's implementation and expansion.
- Regularly update government officials on project progress and seek their input and feedback.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the effective implementation and utilization of the platform by health workers, including ASHAs and ANMs.
- Oversee the identification, confirmation, and data-driven catch-up of immunization sessions for zero-dose children, in alignment with project goals.
- Ensure that the project meets its objectives and timelines while adhering to quality standards.
- Work closely with health workers and officials to facilitate the transition from paper-based to digital reporting systems.
- Collaborate with health workers to train them in using the CHIP platform effectively.
- Support the automation of community engagements through the CHIP platform, optimizing health workers' efficiency.
- Promote the use of CHIP to track multiple primary healthcare reports, including immunization and other health indicators, for performance-based incentives.
- Encourage the use of CHIP to monitor and report on over 52 health-related activities, thereby increasing health workers' remuneration.
- Collaborate with ASHAs and other health workers to screen for social determinants of health using the CHIP platform, contributing to the creation of village-level maps of multidimensional poverty in India.
- Build the capacity of health officials to independently use the CHIP platform for local data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
- 1+years of experience in public health, project management, and government liaison
- Familiarity with the healthcare landscape and government structures in Karnataka
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with government officials and health workers.
- Ability to analyze and interpret health data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in digital health platforms and tools is a plus.
- A deep commitment to improving healthcare delivery and immunization programs in Karnataka
You’ll stand out with
- Prior experience working with government officials and NHM data sets
- Publications with mixed-methods research
- Prior experience working with mHealth / digital health projects
- Excellence in English writing and communication
- Demonstrated work / experimentation in prompt-engineering for tools like ChatGPT
