Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Android applications aligned with business needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize performance and ensure best practices for scalability and security
• Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and maintainability
• Debug and fix issues, improving app stability and performance

Requirements:

• Proficiency in: Kotlin, Java, XML, Android SDK, SQLite, Git, Firebase
• Knowledge of Architecture Patterns: MVP, MVC, MVVM (Bonus: MVI)
• Experience with Jetpack Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Paging, Room)
• Strong understanding of Material Design & UI/UX principles
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs & Retrofit for network communication
• Familiarity with Kotlin (if transitioning or working with mixed codebases)
• Knowledge of Dependency Injection (Dagger/Hilt or Koin)

You’ll stand out with

• Prior experience working with government officials and NHM data sets
• Publications with mixed-methods research
• Prior experience working with mHealth / digital health projects
• Excellence in English writing and communication
• Demonstrated work / experimentation in prompt-engineering for tools like ChatGPT
