Job Information

Khushi Baby is a nonprofit organization operating in India, serving as a technical partner to health departments. Established in 2014 from a classroom at Yale University, Khushi Baby has expanded into a 90-member organization with offices in Jaipur, Udaipur, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

Khushi Baby's primary areas of focus include digital health solutions, health program strengthening, and research & development. Its flagship digital health solution, the Community Health Integrated Platform (CHIP), has been utilized by over 70,000 community health workers and 40,000 villages, reaching 45 million beneficiaries. Among these, over 5 million individuals have been identified with high-risk health conditions and have had their health monitored at the grassroots level. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has allocated over 160 crore rupees (20 million USD) to support the platform's scale-up.

The platform has been instrumental in supporting various initiatives, including the Rajasthan Government's digital health census, multiple rounds of TB active case finding, vector-borne disease surveillance, smoking cessation campaigns, catch-up immunization campaigns, and the monitoring of over 300 labor rooms across the state. The system has been co-designed with input from over 200,000 hours spent in the field.

From a program perspective, Khushi Baby focuses on primary healthcare broadly, with specific projects targeting high-risk maternal health, child malnutrition, and zero-dose children, supporting on-the-ground implementation.

In terms of research and development (R&D), Khushi Baby works on solutions for both community and individual health assessment. Community-level R&D includes geospatial analysis and automated impact evaluation, while individual-level R&D focuses on utilizing smartphones as diagnostics, developing individual risk models, and leveraging low-literacy models (LLMs) for community health workers.

Khushi Baby's work is supported by philanthropic donors such as GAVI, the Skoll Foundation, the PJM Foundation, the Alwaleed Foundation, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding from ARM. The organization collaborates with esteemed partners including IIT-B, IIT and AIIMS Jodhpur, JPAL South Asia, Yale CarDS Lab, the Yale School of Public Health, the Public Health Foundation of India, MIT, Microsoft Research, Google Health, ARMMAN, Wadhwani AI, WHO, PATH, and the Governments of Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, as well as the National Health Authority.
