ABOUT KHAN ACADEMY

Khan Academy is a fast-paced, nonprofit startup on a mission to provide a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. We already reach millions of students every month and are growing rapidly. We’re building a library of world-class instructional and practice resources that empowers learners. Whether they’re studying matrices, mitosis, or multivariable calculus, we want to offer students the resources to realize that they can learn anything.

ABOUT KHAN ACADEMY INDIA

Khan Academy India aims to deliver a world class user experience that is locally relevant to learners in India and is enabled by a strong on-the-ground team and operations. Our learning system is mastery based, which allows students to master key concepts at a pace that is right for them before moving on to more challenging content. From serving under 500,000 learners in 2016, we are now serving almost 4 million learners a month across our websites, apps and youtube channels. These learners include both independent learners accessing us at home and teacher directed learners in schools. Our focus is to reach the underserved by making our content accessible in local languages and by working with large public school systems. Khan Academy is available in Hindi, Hinglish, Kannada, Gujarati, Bangla, Tamil, Punjabi, Marathi and Assamese.

About the Role

We are looking for a thoughtful, analytical, and mission-driven Content Manager – Insights to join our Content team. This role will work across content verticals with a focus on math and science education including localisation, supporting strategy, content quality, and insights generation for student learning. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional instincts, experience working with educational content, and the potential to lead a growing portfolio over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the academic team to analyze student learning data, mastery patterns, and content gaps, especially in the mathematics and science domain.
  • Support and manage content quality reviews across math and science topics (Grades 6–12), ensuring alignment to curriculum standards.
  • Collaborate with curriculum leads to develop insights and inform strategic decisions around content production.
  • Own small-scale content projects from end to end – from planning to execution and measurement.
  • Engage with teachers through the implementation team to identify key problem areas and content impact.
  • Build systems and documentation that make our content development process more efficient and scalable.
  • Maintain a strong lens on impact, equity, and quality, particularly for government school learners.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of experience in education management, content development, consulting, or data/insights roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of secondary school mathematics and science (ideally up to Grade 10 or 12).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills – ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience managing projects with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a strong bias to action – you’re energized by solving hard problems that matter.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in ed-tech, government partnerships, or curriculum development.
  • Experience working with teachers or schools directly.
  • Familiarity with Khan Academy’s content and platform.

Why This Role Is Unique

This is not just a content creation role. It's a chance to work at the intersection of strategy, impact, and instruction – and to shape the future of how we deliver math and science education to millions of learners in India.

We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
