ABOUT THE ROLE

The Temporary HR Manager will assume the responsibilities of the HR Manager during an upcoming maternity leave period for our Lead HR. This role encompasses managing all aspects of human resources functions within the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting the overall strategic objectives of the HR department and the company.

This is a 9-month maternity coverage contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Administration: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
  2. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure a positive employee experience throughout the contract, with confidentiality and transparency.
  3. Recruitment and Selection: Manage the recruitment process from job posting to offer stage, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, offer negotiations, offer roll-out and collaborating with hiring managers to fill vacant positions.
  4. Performance Management: Lead the performance appraisal process, provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters, and assist in the development of performance improvement plans as needed. Conduct the End-Year performance review cycle in the organization with confidentiality.
  5. Training and Development: Identify training needs based on the newly launched Competency Framework, and support employee development initiatives to enhance skills and competencies across the organization. Ensure that all our policies and processes are up to date in the organisation before the financial year closing.
  6. Workforce Planning: Support the workforce planning exercise along with the Head of Finance and Country Director to ensure preparedness for the next financial year
  7. HR Reporting: Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis like attrition, workforce budget and planning.
  8. HR Projects: Identify the need for HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.

- Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in HRIS software, and Google suite.

- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
