About the Role:
Karya is seeking a Head of Product to lead our product strategy and vision as we scale our digital work platform into a high-impact global product. This is a leadership role for someone who can think long-term, architect scalable systems, and translate mission into measurable impact.
As the Head of Product, you’ll define and execute the end-to-end product roadmap — balancing innovation with operational excellence. You’ll lead and mentor the product team, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, and drive decisions that shape how millions of underserved users earn and learn through Karya.

Key Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and drive the product strategy for Karya’s digital work platform, ensuring it can scale seamlessly to support a rapidly growing gig workforce. Think in terms of system architecture – designing and optimizing features/workflows.
- Measure key performance metrics and design experiments to continuously improve throughput. Launch new features and refine processes to manage our workforce effectively and handle increasingly complex tasks at scale.
- Lead product discovery, innovation, and portfolio prioritization across multiple product lines (platform, worker experience, client experience, and tools).
Leadership & Team Management
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product team (PMs, UI/UX designers).
- Foster a data-driven and customer-obsessed culture that values experimentation, learning, and execution.
- Work closely with the executive team and board to align on key outcomes, OKRs, and investment priorities.
Platform Excellence & Scale
- Partner with engineering and AI/ML teams to deliver seamless experiences for workers, clients, and internal users.
- Use data, experimentation, and research to continuously improve engagement, throughput, and data quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Partnerships to execute on the product roadmap with excellence.
- Represent the product function in leadership discussions, influencing company direction with data-backed insights.
- Build processes and systems to enable rapid experimentation and iteration across teams.
Stakeholder & Market Insight
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in the gig economy, AI data platforms, and workforce innovation.
- Represent Karya externally with partners, funders, and the broader ecosystem.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 10+ years of total experience with at least 6+ years in product management, including leadership of PM teams. Experience scaling B2C or marketplace products to 100K+ DAUs.
- Strategic Leadership: Proven success in defining product vision, building roadmaps, and driving measurable business and impact outcomes.
- Domain Expertise: Experience in building products in spaces like AI/ML, PaaS, marketplace, or workforce automation platforms preferred.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to collaborate deeply with engineering on architecture and systems design.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with expertise in experimentation, metrics, and A/B testing.
- Execution Excellence: Ability to move fast, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver consistently in a high-growth environment.
- People Leadership: Inspirational leader who can grow teams, set high standards, and build alignment across functions.
