Job Description
Tech Lead - Quality Assurance (QA) role would be to ensure solid Product Software Quality & timely support, which also includes leading a team of QA & Implementation Engineers who will design and implement tests, debug and define corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and drive quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts).
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test scripts and test cases
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using tools like - Selenium, Appium
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Test Mobile, Web and native applications across multiple mobile devices.
Perform Software Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing. (Mobile & Web Applications).
Identify defects, prioritize and track issues, and report test results to the development team.
Effective roll out of new Software releases & timely product support by way of guiding Implementation engineers with processes/tools to manage field issues effectively
Test Result documentation, Test Report preparation, Defect Tracking & Reporting.
Drive key QA metrics such as defect TAT, defect density & CAPA/RCA
Closely monitor field issues, track bugs in JIRA & build dashboards
Carry out product roll outs & provide Tier-2 support to partners
Effectively collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) for timely resolution of bugs & customer support
Effectively play role of a Scrum Master/Product Owner and well versed with the Agile methodology including conducting rituals such as Release/Sprint planning, daily scrum & Sprint retro/reviews
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Expertise in manual and automation testing.
Hands-on experience of minimum 6 years in a QA Role (Mobile & Web Applications) with at least 1 year as a Tech Lead
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium, etc.)
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Should have Strong testing aptitude with clear understanding of testing concepts (testing life cycle / test plan / test strategy / defect life cycle).
Strong experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process,
Familiarity with common issue tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, Bugzilla, Mentis, etc.)
Strong background in system and application level testing.
Experience testing client and server applications.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all project roles, across multiple project teams.
Certification in ISTQB is a huge plus
