Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Manager, Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) to lead our MLE function. This is a critical leadership role that requires a creative problem-solver who can drive the conceptualization, design, and delivery of innovative health studies and evaluation projects. The role involves collaboration with field teams to maintain data quality and generate insights to improve program delivery. It offers the opportunity to influence project outcomes through hands-on involvement in monitoring, learning, and evaluation efforts. You will be instrumental in shaping our data and insights function, directly impacting how we measure and improve the effectiveness of our programs. This position reports directly to the Director of MLE.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Conceptualize, design, and implement robust M&E frameworks for our health programs, ensuring they are aligned with our strategic goals.
Research & Evaluation: Lead the execution of a range of research studies, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, to generate critical insights and evidence.
Team & Function Development: Mentor and guide a high-performing team of M&E specialists, helping to build the capacity and expertise of the function.
Data Management & Analysis: Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of program data, ensuring data quality and ethical standards are maintained.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including field teams, donors, and partners, to disseminate findings and ensure program learning is translated into action.
Dissemination and Advocacy: Lead the writing and support the dissemination of research findings across multiple platforms, using data and evidence to support advocacy efforts.
Requirements
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an MLE or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects. Experience in the health or public health sector is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, data analysis, and relevant software (e.g. Python, SPSS, STATA, R).
Soft Skills: A creative, multi-tasking problem-solver with exceptional communication and leadership skills. You should be able to articulate complex findings to diverse audiences and influence program strategy.
Education: A Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
