Job Description

About the position:
Intelehealth is dedicated to developing a strong implementation team to support health organizations in the use of the Intelehealth technology platform to drive the improvement of the health status of underserved populations. The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful implementation of telemedicine projects across various geographies of Odisha and Jharkhand. This role plays a critical part in advancing our mission to provide accessible healthcare solutions through telemedicine technology. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with technical and non-technical staff involved in deployment. S/he will be responsible for various aspects of project management and will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to achieve project goals. Senior Program Manager will be responsible for liasoning with the key stakeholders including Government at the State level, advocate and collaborate with the Government for advancing the mission of the organization.

Requirements

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

The job duties for the position of Senior Program Manager are related to managing and implementing telemedicine programs in the Jharkhand and Odisha state.

Overall Program Leadership:

  • Leading the telemedicine program in Jharkhand and Odisha, ensuring its success and alignment with Intelehealth's mission.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive operational plans, including setting goals, timelines, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.

  • Ensure operational plans align with Intelehealth's overall strategy, donor requirements, and local health priorities.

Implementation & Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of telemedicine program implementation, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timelines.

  • Manage and mentor a diverse team of technical and non-technical program staff to ensure efficient program execution.

  • Monitor program progress, identify and address challenges, and implement corrective measures as needed.

  • Ensure programs meet donor commitments and achieve desired results through effective coaching and mentorship.

Partnership & Collaboration:

  • Establish strong partnerships with local healthcare organizations, government entities, and NGOs for program implementation.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholders to ensure program buy-in and sustainability.

  • Negotiate agreements and contracts with partners for successful program execution.

  • Collaborate with various teams, including technical staff and implementation partners, to achieve program goals.

Advocacy & Reporting:

  • Advocate with state health departments and partners for innovative approaches to improve telemedicine service delivery.

  • Advocate for the integration of telemedicine into public health policy frameworks.

  • Prepare regular reports on program progress, achievements, and challenges for government stakeholders, Intelehealth management, and donors.

  • Assist the MLE team in conducting various research studies and facilitate partner engagement for implementing program evaluation studies, including cost-effectiveness and policy impact evaluations.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E):

  • Develop a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework in coordination with the MLE team to track program performance.

  • Identify key metrics related to program implementation, service delivery, and client outcomes.

  • Implement data collection systems and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and impact.

  • Provide recommendations to the technical team for platform improvements based on program needs and stakeholder feedback.

Training & Capacity Building:

  • Develop training modules in coordination with state health departments and clinical teams.

  • Incorporate the Comprehensive Primary Health Care Services package under Health and Wellness Centres into training programs.

  • Plan and execute training programs for healthcare providers, staff, and community members on telemedicine services and clinical guidelines.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to local teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to sustain the program.

Research & Development:

  • Contribute to the development of training programs for the Intelehealth platform informed by program experience.

  • Collaborate with state health departments/institutes to obtain ethics committee approvals for research studies.

  • Analyze program data and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for program improvement and platform enhancement.

  • Be prepared to take on any other tasks assigned by the organization as needed to support the successful implementation of eSanjeevani telemedicine services.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine or a postgraduate degree in public health, social work, health financing, development, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing health programs and working with government stakeholders.
  • At least 5-6 years of experience in leading state operations, managing teams, and advocacy.
  • Prior experience in technology-based projects, particularly ICT4D, is highly preferred.
Skill Sets:
