Innovation Law Lab Summer Clerk 2025 Application

Clerkship Description

Innovation Law Lab seeks clerks to work advancing the human rights of immigrants and refugees. The clerkship provides an opportunity for law students to work directly with massive collaborative representation projects and get hands-on experience with impact litigation and anti-carceral legal organizing. Past clerks have supported rights litigation, helped provide representation to detained and non-detained asylum seekers, drafted policy reports, submitted legislative comments, and engaged with partner organizations to further important local and national immigrant rights issues.

The Summer Clerkship is a temporary position lasting at least 10 weeks. The start date is usually in late May or early June. The length of the position and start dates are flexible. Clerks can expect to work full-time (37.5 hours per week). We expect to hire for at least two positions. Clerks may work remotely or out of the Innovation Law Lab office in Portland, Oregon.

The position is unpaid; Innovation Law Lab will work with the Clerk to seek funding from other sources as necessary.

The deadline to submit your application for the 2025 Summer Clerk position is Monday, December 2, 2024 at midnight PST. All the details are available below.
