InnovateEDU is currently seeking a contract Marketing and Events Associate to support the marketing and event planning operations for our various projects.

The Marketing and Events Associate will support the coordination of conferences, convenings, and webinars in collaboration with the various project leads at InnovateEDU.

The Marketing and Events Associate will grow current marketing and communications strategies across channels such as newsletters and social media, and develop new strategies for external and internal communications. This position will also be responsible for writing and editing copy for reports, resources, website text, and more across the organization.

This is a contract, remote position for 15 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

Events Management:

  • Coordinate logistics for in-person convenings and conferences, including supporting the creation of the event run-of-show, reserving space, catering, and furniture, coordinating travel and promotional materials, and more.
  • Coordinate logistics for online webinars and programs, including setting up Zoom Webinar rooms, scheduling and leading webinar planning meetings, and communicating with speakers and audience members.
  • Professionally represent the organization at virtual events, including speaking in front of audiences, introducing speakers, moderating discussions, and more as needed.

Writing:

  • Compose and edit copy for external and internal communications, including social media posts, newsletters, webpages, social media posts, and other materials.

General Marketing:

  • Contribute to the development of both internal and external marketing and communications in collaboration with the Marketing team and project leads.
  • Support the cultivation of a professional, distinct, and consistent brand identity for each project and the organization as a whole.
  • Utilize tools like Salesforce Account Engagement and SocialPilot to automate communications processes and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our external communications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Background in digital marketing and/or events management.
  • Writing and editing experience for multiple audiences and across several marketing channels.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Pardot, MailChimp, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, Asana (or other project management tool)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing social media brands and channels

Compensation

This position’s compensation range is $22-28. This position is open for a part-time or consulting role, requiring 15 hours a week.
