We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of infrastructure and systems projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes across a range of client environments.

This is a permanent full-time position (hybrid working model), based in Melbourne.

Key duties and responsibilities

This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with leadership in resolving complex support incidents and service requests, acting as a key escalation point within the team.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and other engineers to implement robust, scalable solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices. In addition to project execution and support responsibilities, you will contribute to the consulting function by providing technical insights, assisting with solution design, and mentoring junior team members.

Other duties include:

• Lead the installation of technology solutions, including one of more of these key areas:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft 365
  • Networking
  • Windows Operating Systems
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Teams Telephony
• Ensure the completion of project deliverables, on time and budget
• Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction in relation to project outcomes
• Assist with building effort estimates for project related quotes
• Provide and define standards for consistent reusable technical assets
• Proactively identify external and internal Threats, Risks and Opportunities are identified and raised with leadership, architecture and product management
• Identify and implement solutions to ensure modern efficient technical solutions are used to support engineering practice.
• Maintain and update documentation.
• Improve Infoxchange processes, procedures and work-practices
• Collaborate, coach and share knowledge with other Infoxchange staff
  

Key selection criteria

To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will demonstrate:

1. 5+ years working within the domain specialisation
2. Relevant Microsoft Certification (Sharepoint, Azure, etc.)
   
3. Extensive knowledge and experience designing, implementing and supporting:
   • Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, M365, SharePoint, Intune etc.)
   • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
4. Thorough understanding of network services, including:
   • Network design and Implementation
   • Troubleshooting network issues, including:
     • Firewalls, routers, switching
     • VPN
     • DNS
5. Experience working with third-party vendors.
   
6. Capable of working independently and delivering technical outcomes within budget and/or service level commitment.
