Digital Community Lead

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Community Lead to bring to life Infoxchange’s mission of Technology for Social Justice. This full-time, fixed term role until January 2027 will preferably be based in Melbourne.

About the role
Infoxchange is leading a cross-sector partnership to build the capability of the not-for-profit sector through the Digital Transformation Hub (the Hub) which provides tailored resources to help more than 10,000 organisations each year leverage digital technologies and amplify their impact.
The Hub is an integrated set of web-based Digital Guides, training materials (webinars/online learning courses) and expert advice.
This role is responsible for working with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to support the development and delivery of NFP digital communities and the creation and sharing of content (webinars, digital guides etc.) to improve the capability of non-profit IT managers, staff and vulnerable communities.
You will:
1. Develop and manage digital NFP communities, engagement strategies and associated content schedules that sustainably builds digital capability across 8 areas:
- Artificial Intelligence for NFP's - PC's, network, servers, telephony, email, file sharing and collaboration infrastructure
- Tech foundations for NFPs - PCs, network, servers, telephony, email, file sharing and collaboration infrastructure
- NFP Applications – corporate and service delivery systems including include finance, HR, client/ case management and CRMs
- Data & Analytics for NFPs – data tools, infrastructure, analytics and reporting to measure activities, outputs, impacts and outcomes
- Digital marketing for NFPs – website, social media, electronic Direct Marketing and fundraising
- IT management for NFPs – IT strategy/planning, budgeting, governance and business continuity
- Cyber security protections for NFPs – protect information from online threats and accidental disclosure
2. Collaborate with the Training Designer & Lead to develop community training content (digital guides, forum posts, short videos etc), leveraging content from Infoxchange partners and internal subject matter experts, including appropriate supporting resources (workbooks, digital guides, etc).
3. Work with the Marketing / Communications team so they can effectively promote the communities and training program amongst existing and new audiences.
4. Manage the engagement and moderation of the communities to ensure safe and productive engagement and learn from feedback to refine future activity and maximise impact / sustainability.
5. Manage and maintain the community platform, working with development teams to prioritise and implement potential enhancements.
About you (Key Selection Criteria)
To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will demonstrate:
Qualifications and Specialist Expertise
• Demonstrated success in managing a large online community (corporate or not for profit)
• Ability to conceptualise, design and develop high quality blended community content to support engagement and skill building
• Deep knowledge of community engagement practices
• Skilled in analytics and KPI reporting to improve digital content, improve user experience and optimise engagement efforts
• Skilled at writing guides and developing resources to support learning outcomes
• Experience in graphic design, image and video editing skills, using Adobe Suite or Canva.
Skills and Capabilities
• High level interpersonal and professional communication skills to work effectively with individuals and teams with different levels of technical knowledge
• Ability to work effectively with digital Subject Matter Experts
• Well-developed organisational skills, including an ability to set priorities and to pursue tasks to deadline and manage multiple projects with variable timelines
• Work well in a team environment
• Understand and have experience/ passion for working with digital technologies in the not-for-profit sector (or similar).
