Position Name: Partnership Coordinator (Non-Profit)
Reports to: Community Engagement Manager
Location: Canada / Remote
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (must be able to work between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST)
Duration of Contract: Permanent with 6 months probationary period
Compensation: $28-30/hr based on experience
Who we are, Indigenous Friends Association (IFA)?
Founded in 2015, the Indigenous Friends Association (IFA) is an Indigenous registered charity created to fill a need for Indigenous youth in an urban and post-secondary setting. Our goal is to curate better non-digital and digital safer spaces by connecting with fellow peers rekindling their relationships with traditional knowledge and values.
Indigenous Friends Association is the principal ingredient of a unique creative experience for your organization. IFA has five years of expertise providing Indigenous software, mobile applications and experience planning. We specialize in creating digital solutions and incorporating traditional knowledge and ceremony into virtual spaces.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partnerships Responsibilities
- Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management
- Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails and client visits
- Research partners, identify key players and generate interest on IFA programs
- Collaborate with senior management and other teammates to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships
- Negotiating terms of partnership agreements to ensure that both parties are meeting their obligations and benefitting from the relationship
- Managing existing strategic partnerships by developing new ideas for collaboration, monitoring performance, and resolving conflicts
- Developing marketing strategies and tactics to promote the partnership to companies and other stakeholders
- Managing the legal aspects of partnerships by drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and managing disputes
- Deliver a great experience to our partners when working with our organization - you will represent our brand and be our partners’ liaison internally
- Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions, lead sharing, and/or event partnerships
- Develop and manage relationships with partners to support mentor recruitment and program implementation
- Maintain records of partners and respond to leads inquiries in a timely manner
- Complete other duties and support other departments and initiatives as needed
- Meet yearly quota
Social Media Support
- Work with the social media team on aligning strategy and digital storytelling that furthers the overall IFA brand.
- Serve as an active member of the Development team, contributing to goal setting, revenue generation and the refinement of processes and procedures.
- Perform related responsibilities as required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Previous working experience in outreach and partnerships management for 4 year(s)
- Previous working experience in Marketing and Communication or similar relevant field for 4 year(s)
- Previous working experience with Indigenous communities is preferred.
