As part of the SNSF-funded project “Responsible AI for the Swiss Judiciary”, we work on real-world applications of artificial intelligence for the Swiss judiciary in close collaboration with courts and partners across Switzerland. We are looking for Research Assistants (Law, Computer Science, or related fields).
Job description
We are looking for highly motivated Research Assistants to support our SNSF-funded research project.
The position offers a wide range of possible contributions, depending on your background and interests. Tasks may include:
- Supporting stakeholder interactions, including communication and collaboration with courts and judicial actors
- Assisting in the organization and coordination of project activities
- Contributing to project management tasks (e.g., documentation, coordination, project website)
- Supporting the development and refinement of AI-based research prototypes
- Assisting in research activities
This flexibility allows candidates to engage with the project in ways that best match their skills and interests.
Our offices are located in downtown Zurich, and the working languages are German and English.
Profile
We are looking for students enrolled at a Swiss university who are enthusiastic about contributing to an interdisciplinary research project on AI in the judiciary.
We particularly welcome candidates with a background in:
- Law, especially with an interest in AI and judicial processes
- Computer Science or Data Science, especially with practical programming experience
- Currently enrolled as a student at a Swiss university
We are also open to candidates from other disciplines who demonstrate a strong motivation to contribute to our project.
- Experience with project management and German language skills are a plus.
