The Albert Einstein School of Public Policy at ETH Zurich is an interdisciplinary centre that combines public policy, science and technology to address the greatest societal challenges of our time. Through teaching, research and dialogue, we empower decision-makers to design evidence-based solutions for a better future.
We are looking for a Student Assistant to support the School’s Executive Office activities in the areas of policy dialogue and teaching.
Job description
The Student Assistant will support the Executive Office of the Einstein School in the following areas:
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of events and programmes in the areas of teaching and policy dialogue (e.g. the Einstein Colloquium and the ETH Policy Fellowship)
- Conduct desk research and support the preparation of materials such as presentations and factsheets
- Proofread communication and event-related materials
- Provide support for website updates and social media content management, as required
Profile
- Currently enrolled at a Swiss university (preferably at an advanced Bachelor’s or early Master’s level)
- Initial experience in event organisation
- Reliable and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of German is highly desirable
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Canva) is an advantage
- Academic or personal interest in the nexus of science and public policy is an asset
