The Early Career Programs department currently is comprised of two flagship programs under InTulsa Initiative, LLC: Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year. These programs fuel and invest in unique pathways to economic growth and workforce development by empowering diverse college students to explore, live, and work in Tulsa.
In these Early Career Talent Programs, students learn that the right opportunity can be the critical difference between a fulfilling career and another job opportunity. Campus Tulsa connects students with Tulsa's top companies as interns, providing pathways to full-time employment after graduation. Tulsa Service Year is an opportunity for recent college graduates to serve for a year of high-impact work in a city driven by innovation from a community of learners. Both programs source Tulsa's corporate and nonprofit sectors with a diverse talent pool to encourage inclusive working environments. Position Purpose
The Operations Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year. This position involves managing budgets, coordinating housing and stipends, handling employer applications, and supporting various operational functions to ensure the smooth execution of program goals. The Manager of Operations will work closely with the program director, Human Resources, and other organizational leaders to drive continuous improvement and support the overall success of the programs.
Core Responsibilities
- Help manage the overall budget for Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year, ensuring alignment with program goals and financial objectives.
- Match budget to program storytelling for program and budget reviews.
- Manage employer applications and the matching process for Tulsa Service Year participants.
- Manage the logistical components of Hosted Visit opportunities.
- Oversee Campus Tulsa housing applications, contracts, corporate support, housing agreements and billing processes.
- Manage stipend and salary disbursement, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Execute and document operational policies, processes, and tools to ensure smooth functioning of the programs and services.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to onboard fellows, interns and nonprofit partners.
- Gather and utilize data to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement throughout the Tulsa Service Year program.
- Support the fellow recruitment process, including applications, interviews, selection, and onboarding of fellows and nonprofit partners.
- Gather necessary documentation from internal and external entities to facilitate payments, including invoicing, reimbursements, and expense reconciliation.
- Assist with project management of Corporate Sponsorship Plans.
- Support the director and staff with special projects and higher-level tasks.
- Build cross-functional partnerships to assist with project completion and event execution.
- Manage the Operations Associate, providing guidance and support in their role.
- Fill in knowledge gaps, troubleshoot operations, and assist with queries from fellows and nonprofit partners.
- Overseeing team storage and maintaining accurate counts alongside the Marketing Manager.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Organization Management, Nonprofit Management or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations management, budget oversight, or a similar role.

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs., for lifting supplies and materials, as needed
- Position requires sitting, or standing, and working with a computer for extended periods of time
Hours and Location
- This is not a fully remote position as we work in a hybrid office environment. You must live in or be able to relocate to Tulsa, OK or the surrounding area.
- In-person work preferred but flexibility is always given when needed. Office space will be available for work and you will consider our values of inclusion, service, accountability, and transparency to decide the best physical location to work each day.
- Employees working remotely must possess good time-management and organizational skills, and be self-motivated, self-reliant, and disciplined.
- Ability to occasionally work hours outside of 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. for events.
Additional Requirements
- Local travel to various worksites may be required. Reliable transportation is a requirement.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance as local travel may be required.
