Role Overview
The South Asia Regional Senior Manager/Director plays a central leadership role across iProbono’s country programs in South Asia. This is a dynamic and strategic position that combines program oversight, team coordination, and high-level organisational support. The ideal candidate will work closely with the CEO to help set priorities, coordinate implementation, and strengthen internal systems across the region. The role includes supporting senior decision-making, improving efficiency, and ensuring that key initiatives stay on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination across country programs, ensuring strategic alignment and knowledge-sharing between teams.
- Oversee implementation and growth of the country programs, providing mentoring and strategic guidance to Program Managers.
- Collaborate with the CEO on organisational planning, regional strategy, and internal prioritisation.
- Streamline internal communications between teams and leadership, ensuring clarity and cohesion in program execution.
- Support the design and delivery of reporting, learning, and communications frameworks across South Asia.
- Liaise with external partners and funders, representing iProbono in regional forums and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Global Operations Director on HR, recruitment, budgeting, financial reporting, and the smooth running of the program.
- Support the development of strategic documents, reports, and funding proposals.
- Strengthen operational systems in collaboration with relevant teams.
Skills and Experience
- At least 7-10 years of relevant experience, ideally in legal empowerment, civil society, development, or human rights sectors.
- A postgraduate qualification in management or equivalent professional experience in organisational leadership.
- Strong program management skills and experience working across multiple geographies or teams.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage complex workflows and multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills — collaborative, diplomatic, and solutions-oriented.
- A deep commitment to social justice and iProbono’s values.
- Experience working in South Asia and sensitivity to regional socio-political contexts.
