What are we looking for?

  • iProbono is seeking a Program Officer to support and strengthen our team in the UK and work closely with our CEO to enhance global programs. This role will work closely with the leadership team including our CEO, Operations Director and Research & Impact Director to ensure delivery of programs in South Asia administered from the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to design, develop, and implement programs
  • that align with iProbono's mission.
  • Manage and coordinate program activities, ensuring effective communication and
  • collaboration across teams and jurisdictions.
  • Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes to measure program impact and
  • effectiveness.

Grant Management:

  • Support timely grant reporting and compliance for programs administered from the UK.
  • Manage multiple grant reporting requirements and deadlines.

Legal Systems Expertise:

Utilise knowledge of legal systems in the UK and South Asia and preferably India.

Team Coordination:

  • Effectively coordinate and lead remote teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient
  • working environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments in different jurisdictions.

Communication:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent
  • communication.

Events Planning and Outreach (UK):

  • Support with the planning and execution of events in the UK, ensuring smooth logistics and coordination.
  • Assist in outreach efforts to expand iProbono's network and presence in the UK.

International Travel and Time Zone Collaboration:

  • Be prepared for some international travel as required for program activities, meetings, and events.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a remote international team across different time zones, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Undergraduate and / or postgraduate degree in law or a related subject.
  • Knowledge of legal systems in the UK and South Asia, preferably India.
  • Experience in managing programs for a non-profit/charity, either in the UK or in South Asia. Experience in managing sub-grants and ensuring compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to develop and design programs, with strong coordination skills.
  • Proficient in monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple grant reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • A team player with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work with colleagues across different jurisdictions.
