Hopebound works to revolutionize access to mental health support for young people from historically marginalized communities. Hopebound ensures adolescents, centering those with marginalized identities, receive the accessible, high-quality, culturally competent, and child-centered mental health care they deserve. We utilize emerging master’s and doctoral level clinicians as our providers, many of whom share the background of our youth, and focus on providing them with expert training to ensure that the low cost of their services does not translate to a lower quality of care.
The role:
Hopebound seeks a visionary and experienced Program & Partnerships Director to lead and oversee the implementation, evaluation, and improvement of the organization’s program and services. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in shaping and advancing the clinician program, partner programs, and new, diverse programmatic offerings at Hopebound. This includes enhancing our summer training/onboarding for clinicians and youth served by Hopebound, establishing a comprehensive school and community partnership continuum, and instituting robust continuous quality improvement processes across the organization.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director will serve as a thought partner to the ED and will define Hopebound's programmatic direction. With the priority of improving direct service to clients and the clinician experience, the Program Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all programmatic aspects of Hopebound’s work.
Remote and in-person work balance:
The ideal candidate will be located within the Atlanta metro area. Most weeks, the Hopebound team works remotely three days a week and in person in our Atlanta office space two days a week. The entire team also meets in person twice a month. For candidates outside of the area, monthly travel to Atlanta would be expected for at least one in-person team-wide meeting.
Key responsibilities:
Program and Service Delivery (25%)
- Ensure that Hopebound delivers a transformational experience for all Emerging Clinicians, where at least 85% of clinicians persist from confirmation to completion of service and 85% of clinicians would recommend Hopebound to another clinician intern.
- Ensure high-quality implementation of Hopebound teletherapy services by Emerging Clinicians. Build on Hopebound’s excellent track record of impact results, including at least 60% of clients seeing overall positive change in their mental well-being and 75% of client caregivers who would recommend Hopebound to another friend or colleague seeking teletherapy services for their child.
Service Partner Management (25%)
- Cultivate strategic program partnerships with external organizations, stakeholders, and potential collaborators to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
- Manage and expand partnerships with higher education institutions to ensure the necessary conditions and resources are in place to recruit and engage Emerging Clinicians.
- Develop partnerships with local K-12 institutions and community-based organizations to expand access to Hopebound teletherapy services for young people.
Continuous Quality Improvement(25%)
- Implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess program efficacy, make data-driven decisions, and continuously improve program outcomes. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess program effectiveness, regularly evaluating and adjusting programs to optimize outcomes.
- Measure impact of Hopebound’s programs and services. Synthesize anonymized data on changes in client wellbeing. Collect and analyze anonymous feedback from clients and families.
Leadership and Team Management (25%)
- Successfully develop, manage, and coach Program Manager(s) throughout the program year. Complete regular 1:1 check ins (bi-weekly min) to coach and provide feedback to managers.
- Partner and support clinical supervisors to ensure proper monitoring of clinician notes and follow-up is happening.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience (ideally 3 - 5 years) in an administrative or coordinator role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency and experience in Google Suites (Google drive, docs, sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure while managing multiple priorities, with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt, a ‘customer service’ forward attitude for Hopebound staff and constituents.
- Passion for our mission and dedication to Hopebound's values.
- An ability to collaborate with staff and consultants in a remote environment across different locations and time zones.
- Aptitude for managing up to senior leaders with diverse working and communication styles.
- Experience utilizing technology as a primary form of communication and project management.
