Program assistant (mid-level) to Green Screen Coalition
EUR 300-450 / day
NB: This is a role working directly with the Green Screen Coalition, a programme that we (Green Web Foundation) are founding partners of and continue to offer fiscal sponsorship to. Your contract will be managed through us (Green Web Foundation), but for all intents and purposes the Green Screen program operates independently to Green Web. You would be a Green Screen team member and work directly with them supporting their mission and activities.
Application deadline: Mon 20th July, 1pm CET.
Background
The Green Screen Climate Justice and Digital Rights Coalition is a group of funders and practitioners looking to build bridges across the digital rights and climate justice movements. The aim of the coalition is to be a catalyst in making the climate implications of technology visible by supporting emerging on-the-ground work, building networks, and embedding the issue as an area within philanthropy. Find more info here: https://greenscreen.network.
There is a groundswell of action and conversation naming the environmental and social impacts of AI and the tech industry, and illuminating harms and dynamics, and bringing people together to build alternatives. We have funding to support a number of initiatives in this space between now and 2027, including a recently closed Catalyst Fund grant-making round.
We’re looking for a mid-level program assistant to work alongside the program co-leads to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of these programs. The work would support a global community of activists, researchers, technologists, and artists to build bridges, and collectively develop agendas that centre people and the planet. This role is best suited to someone who is critical of the current extractive systems and wants to provide operational support to enable the network to chart a different path.
