Online Community Manager
Overview
GoodParty.org is seeking a passionate and driven Online Community Manager to be the vital link between our growing community of candidates, elected officials, and their supporters, and our transformative mission: to ensure people matter more than money in our democracy. You will be instrumental in shaping innovative programs, compelling content, and engaging strategies that translate directly into tangible, real-world political impact. This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US.
About GoodParty.org:
GoodParty.org is on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering independent candidates to run, win, and serve. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to independent candidates to run their campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively.
A majority of eligible voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither Republicans nor Democrats represent them. GoodParty.org is the solution. In 2024 we empowered 3,444 independent candidate wins across 48 states from all across the ideological spectrum. The only things our elected officials have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over corporate interests. In 2024, 40.3 million votes (26% of all voters) cast a ballot for our candidates. We’re not a political party, we’re a platform and a movement to democratize democracy.
Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla), GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society’s biggest problems are solved.
What you’ll do:
Platform management will be a daily responsibility, including posting, moderation, and membership administration on Circle. This also includes guiding new members through onboarding workflows and regularly auditing and optimizing the process.
Provide responsive member support via posts and DMs with a customer service–first mindset.
Build and maintain content calendars and project management systems to ensure consistent, high-quality programming.
Coordinate live events such as trainings, AMAs, and panels including promotion, facilitation, recordings, and follow-ups.
Lead the development of at least two new courses per quarter that serve as both educational resources and conversion funnels.
Provide input on community content, videos, and course improvements to increase engagement and completion rates.
Drive KPIs and success metrics for community growth, retention, and conversion.
Develop strategies to convert community members into active product users and Pro memberships.
Partner with the Growth and Marketing teams to attract new members through targeted campaigns and compelling storytelling.
Identify and cultivate emerging community leaders, contributors, and mentors.
Collaborate with Marketing and Mobilization teams to align programming with campaign milestones and optimize overall effectiveness.
Who we’re looking for:
You’re up for the audacious challenge of leveraging technology to transform our civic leadership in America and you don’t think the two-party system is the answer.
You have 3+ years of experience in community management, ideally within mission-driven or tech-enabled organizations.
Proven success leading an active community of at least 3,000 members (5,000–10,000+ preferred).
Demonstrated ability to drive conversions off the community platform (e.g., from community engagement into product adoption, program enrollment, etc.).
Skilled in designing scalable systems and workflows for community and content management, including the implementation of automations, development of content calendaring practices, and the use of experiments to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
You’re on the cutting edge testing the latest technology and AI tools that help scale our online community.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing digital community content.
You’re analytical, growth-oriented, data-driven, curious, and always testing new ideas.
You have a “marketer brain” with high marketing acumen, an eye for storytelling, aesthetics, and the user journey.
You’re a clear and empathetic communicator. You’re patient, inclusive, and able to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
You collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and mobilization teams to align content and programming with campaign milestones and organizational goals.
You’re a technical whiz administrating community platforms (Circle preferred), CRMs (Hubspot preferred), and project management tools (ClickUp preferred).
Bonus if:
You have experience scaling communities to 10,000+ members.
You’re comfortable with light content creation (short video, visual content, editing templates).
You’ve got experience studying, working, or volunteering in politics, civics, or democracy reform.
You are anti-establishment and are sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our democracy fail to meet its potential.
Why you should work at GoodParty.org:
Join us in solving the biggest problem of our time – fixing our democracy – so all other problems can be solved.
We’re a Public Benefit Corporation that prioritizes social impact over profit.

Individual learning & development budget to fund your growth.
We’ll make sure you’ve got what you need to work remotely through our workspace setup stipend.
