Through the power of gaming, community engagement, and philanthropy, we deliver joy and critical resources to children in hospitals, foster care, and underserved communities worldwide. Our mission is driven by passionate volunteers who believe in the transformative impact of play, compassion, and collective action.

Role Overview:

As a Volunteer Recruiter, you’ll be on the frontlines of building the team that powers our mission. You’ll develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract passionate, skilled volunteers who believe in using gaming and technology for good. This is an opportunity to directly impact the growth and effectiveness of Games for Love by connecting talent to purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment Strategy & Sourcing:

  • Design and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and engaged volunteer base.
  • Post and manage volunteer opportunities on recruitment platforms, social media, and relevant communities.
  • Identify and connect with potential volunteers across various channels, including LinkedIn, Discord, and nonprofit platforms.

2. Screening & Engagement:

  • Review applications, conduct volunteer screenings, and assess alignment with our mission and values.
  • Act as the first point of contact for new applicants, providing a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Collaborate with department leads to understand team needs and match candidates accordingly.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Maintain communication with potential and existing volunteers, ensuring a seamless candidate journey.
  • Provide updates and follow-ups throughout the application and onboarding process.
  • Support initiatives for volunteer recognition and retention in partnership with the Employee Experience team.

4. Outreach & Events:

  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment-focused events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
  • Represent Games for Love at virtual events, job fairs, or forums to attract new volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, HR, sales, or customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment or nonprofit work is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace, Airtable, Zoom).
  • Passion for charitable work and belief in Games for Love’s mission.
