THE POSITION
Fast Forward is looking for a Content Marketing Manager, a creative storyteller and marketer who can craft narratives that make people care about tech for good. This role reports to the Senior Content Marketing Manager.
You’ll be the voice behind Fast Forward’s content, finding and writing the stories that showcase the entrepreneurs building tech for social impact and the partners who make that work possible. From social posts and newsletters to event campaigns and major launches, you’ll help the world see what’s possible when tech meets purpose.
You’re a writer, strategist, and collaborator who loves to dream up ideas and make them happen. You can move seamlessly between crafting a founder story, building an email campaign, editing copy for a report, or shaping the content strategy for a major announcement.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in the Presidio in San Francisco, CA (no remote or hybrid options).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
CONTENT
- Produce Fast Forward’s written content, researching and writing engaging newsletters, blog posts, program announcements, and more.
- Develop compelling content for grantmakers and partners.
- Assist with copy needs for events, such as brochures, signage, or landing pages.
- Manage and maintain website copy, including writing new pages as needed.
- Curate imagery for blogs and emails, collaborating with Design on more complex visuals and graphics.
- Support the Fast Forward team with day-to-day marketing needs.
- Dream up and expand our content strategy and establish presence in new channels.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Develop and maintain the editorial calendar in partnership with the Senior Content Marketing Manager, ensuring Fast Forward’s content is strategically aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with Design and Comms to build integrated campaigns that amplify Fast Forward’s mission.
- Manage feedback and approval processes for content, keeping stakeholders informed and timelines on track.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to manage HubSpot as it relates to owned marketing initiatives.
SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNITY
- Lead Fast Forward’s organic social media channels (LinkedIn and Instagram) with creativity and consistency.
- Write and schedule posts that engage founders, partners, and the broader tech for good community.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments to foster community connection.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in content marketing, storytelling, journalism, or communications
- Excellent writing and editing skills — you can make complex ideas simple, clear, and compelling
- Strategic thinker with experience building and managing content calendars or campaigns
- Experience with digital marketing tools (bonus: HubSpot or similar CRM/email platforms)
- A creative eye for selecting and pairing imagery that strengthens storytelling across materials
- Collaborative teammate and people person who builds strong cross-functional relationships and communicates with clarity and empathy
- Detail-oriented and proactive professional who takes ownership, follows through, and delivers high-quality work on time
- Mission-driven mindset with deep alignment with Fast Forward’s values and a belief in tech as a force for good
COMPENSATION
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 - negotiable depending on experience.
Note: In accordance with federal, state, and local safety guidelines, this role is expected to be performed in-person, in San Francisco.
