About Us

F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.

F4F was incubated at Mulago, Fast Forward, NSRCEL-IIMB, The Nudge Institute and Shakti - The Empathy Project. Our work has been supported by several organizations including Accenture, ACT Grants, Opus Software Solutions, Rainmatter Foundation and Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies.

We have also featured on DW TV and Scroll's Eco India series as well as DW Hindi. We have also been selected as one of India's top innovators working in the ecosystem restoration and conservation sector by the World Economic Forum.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

● To do field visits to conduct participants’ interviews, validate field activities as per SOP and monitor plantation survival of the agroforestry project (field operation monitoring).
● Coordinate with the data quality team and field team for planning the data collection on the field.
● Ensure the data quality of the collected field data is correct.
● Help the Field Manager to collate data post farmer onboarding by implementation team
● Document Verification and Data Scrutiny: Review and validate data from scanned documents to ensure consistency and correctness, supporting data quality checks and finance-related tasks as needed.
● Other related duties or work as assigned by the Field Manager.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree and above; background in the agriculture sector, rural development, or social work is a major advantage.
● Good interpersonal skills and fluency in Hindi
● Willing to travel extensively to field locations and engage with farmers.
● Valid driver's license and a motorcycle is mandatory.
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
● Proficiency in MS Office and Google Sheets.
● Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox or similar).
● Flexible, self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious relationships within communities.
● Attention to detail and ability to adapt to unstructured or fast-changing circumstances.
● Ability to manage high-level relationships with farmers.
● Ability and willingness to work in challenging field conditions.
