About Us
F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.
F4F was incubated at Mulago, Fast Forward, NSRCEL-IIMB, The Nudge Institute and Shakti - The Empathy Project. Our work has been supported by several organizations including Accenture, ACT Grants, Opus Software Solutions, Rainmatter Foundation and Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies.
We have also featured on DW TV and Scroll's Eco India series as well as DW Hindi. We have also been selected as one of India's top innovators working in the ecosystem restoration and conservation sector by the World Economic Forum.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of Farmers for Forests’ (F4F) digital products — including operations, inventory management, and AI-based tree detection and carbon estimation systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in product strategy, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination to translate user needs into scalable and impactful technology solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Define and prioritize product roadmaps for F4F’s digital platforms, ensuring usability, reliability, and scalability.
Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management — from planning, requirement gathering, and design to deployment and maintenance.
Translate complex requirements into clear documentation, user stories, and product specifications.
Collaborate with technology, operations, and research teams to align product development with organizational goals and field requirements.
Manage user testing, feedback loops, and continuous improvement cycles to enhance product functionality and user experience.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth data workflows across systems (e.g., drone data, field data, and dashboards).
Track key product metrics, report performance, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in technology-driven environmental, data, or operational domains.
Strong user empathy and ability to see and feel things from someone else’s perspective.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, product design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
A proactive and organized leader with the ability to translate complex field and technical requirements into actionable product features.
