About Us

F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.

Job Description

The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing ground and impact data from agroforestry and cookstove implementation projects, ensuring the smooth development of automated data pipelines and dashboards. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data processes and provide actionable insights for project improvement and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing ground data collected from agroforestry and cookstove implementation projects to generate insights and reports.

  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

  • Automating data ingestion from various internal and external sources (APIs, databases, cloud storage, etc.).

  • Building and maintaining data warehouses or data lake environments.

  • Developing end-to-end data flows and automating processes to enhance data pipeline efficiency.

  • Implementing data quality checks across the data pipeline to ensure consistency and reliability.

  • Conducting impact data analysis to measure project outcomes and effectiveness.

  • Creating interactive dashboards for real-time visualization and decision-making.

  • Collaborating with the Field Operations Team to understand data requirements and provide insights and feedback on the quality of data collected.

  • Collaborating with the Research and Technology Team to design data workflows and implement best practices in data management.


Requirements

  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.

  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt).

  • Proficiency in either Python or R for complex analysis, statistical modeling, and data cleaning.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Data visualization experience using Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar tools.

  • Working knowledge of how databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data warehouses (Google BigQuery), as well as cloud platforms such as AWS, are structured and managed.
