F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.

Job Description
The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of forest fire prevention and assisted natural regeneration (ANR) initiatives across approximately 4,000 hectares in the North Gadchiroli region. The role requires strong coordination, operational management, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure effective project execution and reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support the two Field Managers in implementing all project activities on ground.
Develop and oversee annual and monthly implementation plans for forest fire prevention, direct seeding, and plantation activities.
Conduct periodic field visits to monitor progress, ensure quality of work, and provide technical guidance to field teams.
Manage procurement of seeds, saplings, equipment, and other project materials; ensure proper documentation and inventory control.
Maintain accurate field data, generate analytical and progress reports, and support documentation for donor and departmental submissions.
Liaise effectively with the Forest Department, local communities, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and compliance.
Develop and disseminate outreach and awareness materials for local communities on forest fire prevention and ecological restoration.
Ensure that all field operations adhere to safety standards, environmental guidelines, and institutional protocols.
Support capacity building of field teams and local stakeholders through training and workshops.
Contribute to periodic project evaluations and adaptive management strategies based on field insights.
Requirements
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in operations, procurement, or project management, preferably in the environment, agriculture, forestry, or development sectors.
Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and large-scale project procurement.
Strong background in supply chain and logistics management, especially in rural or field-based projects.
Experience working with government agencies and community-based organizations is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership and team management skills; ability to coordinate across multi-location field teams.
Proficiency in data management, reporting, and basic digital tools (Excel, Google Sheets; GIS exposure preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Marathi and Hindi preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively within project areas.
