About Us
F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.
F4F was incubated at Mulago, Fast Forward, NSRCEL-IIMB, The Nudge Institute and Shakti - The Empathy Project. Our work has been supported by several organizations including Accenture, ACT Grants, Opus Software Solutions, Rainmatter Foundation and Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies.

Job Description
The Field Manager will lead on-ground implementation of forest fire prevention, direct seeding, and assisted natural regeneration (ANR) activities in the assigned project area. The role involves close coordination with local communities, the Forest Department, and field teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution of field operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and oversee daily field operations for ANR, direct seeding, and fire prevention work in assigned beats or compartments.
Supervise and assign tasks to field associates and local daily-wage workers; ensure productivity and adherence to work plans.
Coordinate with the local Forest Department and community representatives for permissions, support, and implementation alignment.
Conduct regular field inspections to verify work quality and monitor progress.
Ensure accurate data collection through survey forms, logs, and mobile-based data tools.
Support procurement and timely delivery of field materials, tools, and supplies.
Engage with local communities for awareness-building and participation in forest fire prevention and regeneration efforts.
Report daily/weekly progress and challenges to the Senior Manager.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols during fieldwork.
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing or coordinating field-based projects, preferably in environment, forestry, agriculture, or rural development sectors.
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and coordinate field operations.
Experience working with rural and tribal communities preferred.
Basic understanding of data recording, field monitoring, and reporting processes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in Marathi preferred.
Willingness to work in remote forest areas with extensive field travel.
Educational background in forestry, agriculture, environmental sciences, or rural development will be an added advantage.
