Help shape the future of the IPS workforce across England

Social Finance is an ambitious not-for-profit organisation working to design, fund and scale better solutions to complex social problems.

Through IPS Grow, Social Finance supports the expansion and improvement of Individual Placement and Support services (IPS). IPS is an evidence-based approach that helps people with mental health conditions, people overcoming alcohol and drug addiction or who otherwise face economic exclusion, to find and sustain paid employment.

The opportunity

IPS Grow is now looking for two Senior Workforce Leads to play a key role in the professional development of the IPS workforce.

Working remotely as part of the Workforce team and reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of training, onboarding, accredited learning and professional development programmes for IPS Employment Specialists across England.

  • Collect and analyse workforce and EDI data and contribute to reporting and evaluation
  • Support IPS services with workforce development and race equity action planning
  • Work collaboratively with Workforce Leads, Regional Leads and the wider IPS Grow team to deliver a joined-up workforce strategy
  • Share best practice and contribute to national workforce development initiatives

The person

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) principles and practice
  • Extensive experience developing and delivering training programmes, ideally within IPS or a related employment and health setting
  • Experience designing and delivering face-to-face, virtual and e‑learning programmes
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and how to develop engaging learning experiences
  • Experience supporting onboarding, mentoring and the professional development of new employees
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence a wide range of audiences
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical solutions
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness and learner outcomes
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • A commitment to inclusive and equitable workforce development
  • Willingness to undertake significant travel across England to deliver training, build relationships and support IPS services

    Desirable:
