Support Greenlight’s core data infrastructure, ensuring that data on clean energy projects, local jurisdictions, and decision makers is reliable, connected, and actionable.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines and databases of clean energy projects needing local approvals, local jurisdictions and geographies, and decision makers from a variety of public and proprietary sources, using structured and unstructured data.
- Set up orchestration and data transformations between internal organizing, CRM and database systems.
- Leverage LLMs to work on identity resolution and connect external data to internal data sources.
- Regularly evaluate and improve the quality of data products and processes.
- Work closely with Senior Data Engineer on coding standards and partner with Greenlight’s Research, Partnerships, Communications and Campaigns Team to develop data products that meet strategic needs and advance organizational priorities.
Skillset
- Strong technical communication skills and attention to detail, including experience producing technical documentation.
- Good working knowledge of Python, SQL, Git, dbt and the ability to learn and apply new data tools and techniques efficiently.
- Some experience with cloud-based orchestration and containerization tools.
- Familiarity with establishing strong data standards and testing procedures.
- Experience working collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Has an orientation toward rapid prototyping and iteration.
- Ability to think creatively, take risks, and objectively evaluate results.
- Passion for accelerating the clean energy transition.
