Oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of the organization, ensuring seamless program execution and a high-quality experience for both nonprofit clients and volunteers.
Responsibilities
Ownership of program execution and management
- Lead and manage the day-to-day execution of core programs, including volunteer and nonprofit recruitment, onboarding, training, recurring feedback collection and analysis, deliverable collection, and off boarding.
- Set and enforce deadlines, expectations, and program standards to strive towards successful outcomes for nonprofits and volunteers.
Product Lead team management
- Oversee and guide team of Product Leads (former Develop for Good student graduates who return to join our volunteer leadership team), ensuring that they stay on track with their commitments.
- Provide hands-on leadership by stepping in to support program execution when necessary.
Internal resource and process development
- Spearhead the development and maintenance of comprehensive internal library of educational content and resources.
- Regularly review, improve, and update content to ensure relevance and accuracy.
Customer success
- Uphold, define, and report on key performance metrics for volunteer and nonprofit success.
- Take ownership of the resolution of volunteer and nonprofit conflicts and concerns. As the final point of escalation for issues, work proactively, swiftly, and effectively to mediate misunderstandings and ensure positive outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers and nonprofits, ensuring open communication and delivering exceptional support throughout their experience.
Skillset
- A postsecondary degree and significant experience in operations, technology, volunteer management, or education-related fields preferred.
- Strong track record of managing teams and project ownership, preferably with experience in volunteer-driven organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; ability to engage with diverse audiences, including students, industry professionals, and nonprofit leaders.
- Outgoing, engaging, and energizing personality, capable of fostering a collaborative, positive work culture.
- Must be solution-oriented and proactive in driving desired outcomes.
- Values efficiency, frugality, and long-term scalability.
- Is highly responsive, reliable, and positive while operating under tight deadlines and ambiguity in a small, early-stage team. Thrives when wearing multiple hats.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required by deadlines.
