Responsible for WEDO’s data programs (the Gender and Environment Data Alliance and the Gender Climate Tracker), and contributing to the monitoring, evaluation, and learning work more broadly.
Responsibilities
- Serve as point person for GEDA’s Advocacy and Outreach Working Group and external engagement, including managing communications consultant(s).
- Execute GEDA small grants (with support from the Associate for Programs and Policy).
- Represent WEDO on GEDA’s Co-Convener team (monthly meetings and coordination) and Steering Committee (bimonthly meetings and coordination), alongside Associate for Programs and Policy.
- Undertake an audit and handover with current WEDO staff on the implementation of the GCT, determining key needs for maintaining ongoing work and to develop a forward-thinking vision for the tool.
- Oversee standard updates across the functionality of the GCT, including outlining and managing the staffing (full-time, consultants, and/or interns) and resource support required.
- Lead grant management and reporting across both programs.
- Support fundraising efforts directly related to these initiatives in addition to supporting fundraising efforts overall.
- Management and support of WEDO staff, with one to two full time staff as direct reports, in addition to consultants and/or interns as relevant.
- Providing support and leadership to WEDO organizational work, including key roles on internal committees around fundraising and WEDO’s approach to monitoring, learning and evaluation.
Skillset
- At least seven years of combined education and professional experience, with a strong background in gender, environment/climate, data, and/or monitoring and evaluation, approached through a feminist and/or global justice perspective.
- Demonstrated affinity for and, ideally, training in equitable and supportive management, with at least three years’ experience managing staff.
- Significant experience and enthusiasm for collaborative working, with experience coordinating large teams and/or coalitions with multiple partners.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis and draft written analyses of highlights and trends for different target audiences.
- At least some experience fundraising, owning grant management/reporting, and ideally administrating small grants.
- Demonstrated commitment to WEDO’s vision, willingness and enthusiasm to contribute to its organizational growth, and deep alignment with its feminist values.
