Protect.ngo is a Switzerland- and Netherlands-based foundation dedicated to protecting those who protect others. Our mission is to expose and defend: we expose the human impact of cyberattacks and information manipulation targeting civil society organizations, and we defend them through cybersecurity support, technology, and a global network of talents. Protect.ngo depends on fundraising and partnerships to fund and grow its work. As part of the Fundraising and Partnerships Team, you will help secure the donors, foundations, corporate partners, and public institutions that make our cybersecurity support to civil society possible.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn fundraising and partnership-building at a growing international nonprofit, working on digital resilience — a fast-growing priority in the sector.

We're looking for proactive, curious people who want to learn by doing.

  • You will be reporting directly to the team manager, working closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships Team to support Protect.ngo’s fundraising strategy and growth, donor and stakeholder management, and the scouting of new funding and partnership opportunities.

  • According to the profile outlined below, you will provide input and support in:

    • Assessing, qualifying and outreaching to donor prospects and potential partners

    • Keeping internal CRM and relevant databases updated

    • Writing/adapting concept notes/proposals for stakeholder engagement and potential donors’ outreach

    • Stewardship of existing donors

    • Writing events’ session submissions

    • Maintaining regular updates of key strategic documents (e.g. work plan, monthly/quarterly reports)

    • Stakeholders assessment and preparation of related initial outreach

    • Background research and analysis to generate insights into key strategic topics

    • Organizing meetings/events

    • Clerical and administrative duties as needed

  • Studies in business administration/economics, marketing, international law, international relations, international development, international human rights, international security studies, cybersecurity, or related field

  • Fluency in English and French, spoken and written

  • Knowledge of fundraising techniques and partnership building and curation, including administrative and legal aspects

  • Knowledge of creation of concept notes/proposals/applications for funding/collaborative purposes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skill

  • Proactive, flexible, detailed and organized

  • Commitment to work in NGOs - nonprofit sector

  • The following requirements are an asset:

    • Visual/design capabilities (i.e. graphs, PPTs)

    • External communication experience, with a focus on social media engagement

    • Marketing

    • Knowledge of cyber lingo and key cybersecurity concepts
