This is a fully remote role with schedules that require flexibility to cover overnight and weekend shifts.

We are only able to consider candidates who maintain a permanent residence in one of the following states: CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, MD, MA, MI, NJ, NM, NY, NC, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WA.

Supervisors play a critical role in the success of Crisis Text Line. In this position, you’ll provide real-time guidance and support to our remote volunteer Crisis Counselors, ensuring every texter receives the highest quality care. You’ll step into conversations when needed and help navigate high-risk situations, including active rescues and mandatory reports. You bring a steady, supportive presence, always keeping both the texter’s well-being and the Crisis Counselor’s experience at the center of your work.

Crisis Text Line provides support in English and Spanish. Bilingual staff may switch between both as needed, so comfort and flexibility in both languages is important.

  • Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in G-suite and are totally comfortable navigating new and exciting websites and online platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform active rescues when texter safety has been identified as imminent risk
  • Monitor volunteer Crisis Counselor conversations for training adherence and quality support
  • Work with volunteer Crisis Counselors in providing coping skills and exercise safety protocols in high-risk situations
  • Assist volunteer Crisis Counselors to identify texter needs and develop a support and plan for safety
  • Ensure volunteer Crisis Counselors adherence to code of conduct and escalate if required
  • Provide real time feedback on conversation quality.
  • Participate in trainings and internal working groups to increase quality service delivery

Requirements:

  • You have 3+ years of crisis intervention work experience beyond volunteerism.
  • Ability to work flex shifts as needed to meet the needs of the business outside of assigned shifts, up to 26 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Hourly Salary: $25.31 per hour
