Description

We are seeking an experienced product leader to spearhead our product strategy across our Families and Education portfolios. This pivotal role is essential in accelerating our shift toward a mobile-first product experience for Families, expanding our paid membership base, and leveraging AI to deliver delightful and contemporary product experiences. The ideal candidate will bring user-centric thinking to our well-established Product team, driving innovation and maximizing member growth and retention.

LOCATION: San Francisco, California (Hybrid)

REPORTS TO: Chief Product & Technology Officer

SALARY: $160,000–$190,000

TYPE: Full-time, exempt

Responsibilities

  • Drive Product Strategy: Lead the development and execution of an innovative product roadmap for our Families and Education portfolios. Challenge conventional thinking to unlock growth and elevate our position as an industry leader.
  • AI Integration: Lead the adoption of AI technologies to create more personalized product experiences and improve content management workflows while maintaining the highest standards of ethical AI practices.
  • Mobile-First Experience: Develop and enhance our mobile app, empowering families to navigate parenting in the digital age with user-friendly, impactful tools.
  • Membership Growth : Support the membership team with a user-centric mindset and understanding of member life cycle, from acquisition to renewal (or churn) to referral, identifying key touchpoints to improve the user experience, incorporate feedback loops, and align with the support teams.
  • Expand Educational Impact: Support the Education team with a user-centric mindset, understanding educational needs to increase adoption of our curriculum and resources, and grow our professional development offerings to better prepare students for success in a connected world.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product team while fostering a culture of growth, innovation, collaboration, and continual improvement aligned with our mission. Collaborate closely cross-organizationally with Business Development to deliver partner value through product innovation to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing a portfolio of products.
  • Exceptional ability to challenge the status quo and inspire innovation through clear articulation and execution of product vision.
  • Experience in scaling B2C subscription products and mobile app product experiences.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalize on income-generating opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in integrating AI into product offerings, with an emphasis on responsible and ethical AI practices.
  • Skilled at guiding teams and stakeholders through difficult changes, fostering buy-in, and driving fresh perspectives forward.
  • Proven expertise in leading and building high-performing product teams.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision-making, leveraging insights to drive effective product strategies.
  • Excels in navigating ambiguity and taking decisive actions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
