Location: Dehradun

Type: Full-time

Experience: 0–2 years

Compensation: INR 2,00,000 – 4,00,000 LPA (based on candidature and profile)

About CodeYogi Foundation

CodeYogi Foundation empowers millions of Indian students who lack access to computers to learn professional coding and confidently pursue careers in technology. We're building a mobile-first, AI-powered learning platform — because 90% of students in tier-2/3 cities only have phones, not laptops.

We've reached 295K+ students across 9 states, with 48.6% girls. Our students build real web apps, advance to competitive programs, and land tech careers — all learning on smartphones.

We're a small, high-impact team of 17+ people, scaling fast. We need someone to help keep operations running smoothly.

The Role

We're looking for a Management Trainee to join our team. This is a growth-oriented role designed for people who learn fast, take initiative, and want to make an impact.

You'll rotate through different functions, tackle diverse challenges, and develop into a versatile professional. This isn't about doing one narrow job — it's about proving you can handle anything we throw at you while growing rapidly.

This role is for you if:

  • You learn new things quickly and enjoy being challenged
  • You take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • You don't wait to be told what to do — you figure it out
  • You communicate clearly and professionally
  • You're hungry to grow and make an impact

What You'll Do

Cross-Functional Exposure (Varies Based on Need)

  • Work across operations, coordination, research, and communications
  • Support different teams based on organizational priorities
  • Take on projects that match your strengths and growth areas
  • Learn how a fast-scaling non-profit operates

Task Ownership (30%)

  • Own assigned tasks end-to-end, from planning to completion
  • Follow through without reminders
  • Report progress and outcomes, not just activity
  • Close loops and confirm completion

Problem-Solving (25%)

  • Identify issues and propose solutions (don't just report problems)
  • Use data and analysis to support decisions
  • Test ideas, iterate based on results
  • Learn from what doesn't work

Communication & Coordination (25%)

  • Write clear emails, updates, and documents
  • Coordinate across teams when needed
  • Keep stakeholders informed proactively
  • Escalate issues appropriately

Learning & Growth (20%)

  • Pick up new skills and tools quickly
  • Ask good questions and apply feedback
  • Seek opportunities to contribute beyond your assigned work
  • Document what you learn for others

What Success Looks Like in 6 Months

  • Reliable execution — Tasks done on time, every time, no reminders needed
  • Demonstrated learning agility — You've rapidly picked up new skills and applied feedback
  • Problem ownership — You don't just identify issues; you propose and implement solutions
  • Cross-functional collaboration — You've worked effectively across teams
  • Business understanding — You understand how different functions connect
  • Trusted by team — You're the person people count on

Must-Have Skills

Foundational Skills

1. Learning Agility

You pick up new things quickly. You ask good questions, apply feedback immediately, and are comfortable being a beginner. You don't need things explained multiple times.

2. Ownership & Accountability

You take responsibility for tasks end-to-end. You follow through without reminders. When something goes wrong, you own it and fix it — no excuses, no blame.

3. Communication Skills

You write clearly and concisely. Your verbal communication is structured. You know when and how to escalate issues. Zero tolerance for typos.

4. Time & Task Management

You prioritize effectively. You meet deadlines consistently. You manage multiple assignments without dropping balls. You have a system.

Thinking & Problem-Solving

5. Analytical Thinking

You break problems into smaller parts. You use data to support decisions. You identify patterns and gaps. You think before you act.

6. Problem-Solving Mindset

You don't stop at "this is the issue." You propose solutions. You test, iterate, and improve. You take action rather than waiting for perfect answers.

Work & Culture

7. Team Collaboration

You work well with diverse teams. You respect different viewpoints. You support others proactively. You share information freely.

8. Professionalism

You're reliable and punctual. You behave ethically. You communicate respectfully with everyone — seniors, peers, and external stakeholders.

9. Adaptability

You handle ambiguity and changing priorities. You stay calm under pressure. You're open to whatever the organization needs you to do.

Growth-Oriented

10. Initiative

You go beyond assigned tasks. You identify improvement opportunities. You volunteer for responsibility. You don't wait to be told.

11. Basic Business Understanding

You understand how different functions connect. You think in terms of outcomes, not just activities. You ask "Why?" and "What's the impact?"

12. Digital & Tool Comfort

You're comfortable with Google Workspace, MS Office, and basic tools. You learn new software quickly. Technology doesn't intimidate you.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Presentation skills (comfortable presenting to groups)
  • Stakeholder coordination experience
  • Documentation & process thinking
  • Exposure to fieldwork or operations

What We’re NOT Looking For

  • "Know-it-alls" — If you think you don't need to learn anything new, this isn't for you

  • Passengers — If you only do what's assigned and nothing more, this isn't for you
  • Fixed mindset — If you're defensive about feedback, this isn't for you
  • Title-focused — If you care more about job title than actual work, this isn't for you

What We Offer

Growth

This is a test hire role with real growth potential. Prove yourself, and opportunities expand. We promote based on impact, not tenure.

You'll work on meaningful challenges that directly affect 295K+ students. Your work matters.

Learning

Exposure across functions. Work closely with leadership. Learn how a fast-scaling non-profit operates.

Team

Small, mission-driven team. No corporate politics. We care about getting things done, not looking busy.
