Roles and responsibilities
We’re looking for a skilled communicator who can turn complex ideas into engaging stories that connect with our audiences: from policymakers and researchers to climate advocates and the wider public. You’ll bring our work to life through clear, thoughtful, and engaging content across our digital channels.
We’re looking for someone who is excited about the nuts and bolts of doing marketing and communications for a c. 30-person, not-for-profit startup. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you are responsible for executing our communications plan.
What You’ll Do
Deliver the communications plan through high-quality, consistent execution
Mine the organisation for stories - finding the most compelling ways to share our insights and impact
Produce 2–3 blog posts per month
Write, edit and maintain website copy (currently hosted on Squarespace) and ensure the site remains up to date, accurate and engaging
Create and publish regular content for LinkedIn and Bluesky, growing our presence and reach - including our regular newsletter and promoting CPR webinars and events
Support ongoing promotion of our tools and features
Support the development and execution of set-piece communications such as the Annual Report
Work with design to maintain and update our standard set of PPT decks in Google slides and ensure brand consistency
Working with our Senior Partnerships Manager, create support materials to grow our user base with both partners and end users (including policymakers, civil society, and the private sector), especially ahead of industry events (like COP or London Climate Action Week) and product launches
You bring with you:
Strong attention to detail: this is a must!
5+ years experience in marketing and communications, with demonstrated experience in climate, nature and/or development
Strong writing and storytelling skills, able to translate complex, technical topics into engaging and accessible content
A track record of creating compelling content for digital channels
Experience managing websites (ideally in Squarespace) and social channels on a tight budget
Organised and proactive in managing multiple projects at once
Analytical mindset, confident using metrics to measure and improve content performance
Comfortable working with cross-functional and/or technical teams to identify opportunities and craft stories
Nice to have
Experience supporting go-to-market strategies or product launches
Skills in basic video creation and editing for social media
Have worked in the tech space or not-for-profit sector
Media handling experience
Knowledge of SEO and digital product communications
Salary and Benefits:
Salary between £48,000-53,000 depending on experience

CV and screening questions
45-minute conversation with Head of People and Head of Marketing and Communications
30 minute task (in person) followed by 75 minute interview with Chief of Staff, Head of Marketing and Communications, Chief Policy and Partnerships Officer and CEO
