Chimple is an award-winning EdTech social enterprise, empowering children from low-income communities to build strong foundational literacy and numeracy skills through an open-source app. Chimple is a finalist in the competitive Global Learning XPRIZE, which challenged teams worldwide to develop open-source and scalable software that will enable children in developing countries to teach themselves basic reading, writing and arithmetic within 15 months.
Chimple is a grantee of Central Square Foundation. Our 2022–23 impact evaluation (RCT) in Haryana showed just 10 minutes of daily usage equals one additional academic year of learning. As we aim to reach 1 million children across India in three years, we’re looking to elevate our storytelling to match our impact.
Position: Fundraising Manager / Senior ManagerLocation: Bangalore
Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Fundraising Manager / Senior Manager who will spearhead efforts to cultivate and manage donor relationships, focusing on both big-ticket institutional grants and smaller CSR/corporate funders. You will lead donor engagements from initial conversations to long-term partnership.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage a robust fundraising pipeline for domestic and international donors.
2. Lead initial rounds of donor conversations and qualify potential opportunities.
3. Create persuasive, tailored pitches, presentations, and strategic fundraising collateral.
4. Manage relationships with existing & potential donors (corporates, foundations, UHNIs, institutional funders).
5. Strategically plan and implement outreach campaigns and events to engage new donors.
6. Oversee donor stewardship, regular communications, and reporting cycles.
7. Lead CSR partnerships, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines & reporting requirements.
8. Collaborate closely with Communications team to produce compelling donor-specific impact reports.
9. Track and report fundraising progress to leadership on a regular basis.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Min. 6–8 yrs of experience in fundraising, CSR, or donor management (preferably in education).
2. Strong networking and relationship-building. Proven ability to manage complex donor relationships.
3. Outstanding storytelling, writing, and editing skills in English (Hindi/regional languages a plus).
4. Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Prezi or equivalents.
5. Proficiency in donor CRM systems and pipeline tracking tools.
