Salary: $62,320.72 - $70,173.13
Location: Chicago, IL or remote in the U.S.
Intended start date: May 18, 2026

About the Center for Tech and Civic Life
CTCL’s work catalyzes excellent election administration across the U.S., which impacts millions of Americans. As a People and Culture Associate, you’ll play a key role in hiring new talent to advance CTCL’s strategic goals, and you’ll support initiatives to promote positive staff experience and sustainable high performance across the organization. You’ll report to the Senior Talent Manager.

Hiring Process Support: Support People & Culture hiring processes to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring workflow.
Help create job descriptions and update other hiring materials
Post jobs
Set up pipelines on Applicant Tracking System
Evaluate applications
Act as a primary point of contact for applicants, ensuring they are supported and informed throughout the hiring journey.

Administrative Support: Support People + Culture with a variety of tasks including:
Note taking and meeting facilitation support
Drafting staff-facing materials
Document retention and organization
Double checking work to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Providing coverage for other staff or filling gaps in department workflows
Updating employee records in HR systems
Coordinating with departments and following up with individuals to ensure required tasks are completed on time

Staff Engagement Support:
Survey staff to inform People and Culture’s priorities.
Flag staff questions and concerns to the Senior Talent Manager/Director
Share out reminders to staff on Slack
Job requirements
To be successful in this role, you would need some experience in all of these must-have areas:

Experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, employee engagement, and plain language writing are all plusses, but not requirements for the role.

Candidates with the strongest simulations will be invited to a video interview. We will then conduct reference checks for finalists, to determine who’s the best fit for the position.
