At the Center for Open Science (COS), we're committed to transforming the research landscape by enabling open, transparent, and reproducible research. COS pursues this mission by building communities around open science practices, supporting metascience research, and developing and maintaining tools, including the Open Science Framework (OSF).
As the Digital Marketing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our mission, leveraging your skills to amplify the impact of COS and OSF within the research community and beyond. As a key contributor, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape and execute innovative marketing, digital, and brand strategies. Your role will be instrumental in driving engagement, expanding our sales funnel, and supporting revenue-generating initiatives that advance our mission in the open science ecosystem. Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Salesforce or other CRMs, mass email systems (e.g., Mailchimp), Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other marketing automation tools and practices
  • Direct email marketing experience with a focus on strategy, implementation, and lead nurturing
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and report on key metrics
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, video production, SEM, and SEO
  • Background in marketing, brand, digital advertising, and social media
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinker, problem solver, and efficient organizer with project management experience
  • Data-driven, customer-centric, and comfortable learning new programs and technologies

Required experience and/or degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing-related field or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in product and membership marketing, digital marketing, and Salesforce management for a minimum of 3-5 years (SaaS/technology sector, academic research, higher education, and/or nonprofit experience a plus)
This is a fully remote position. COS supports flexibility in work scheduling. Individuals who would like to work outside a 9am - 5pm Eastern Time (ET) schedule must work with their managers to establish core hours of availability. Modifications for different time zones will be considered for team collaboration. Occasional travel is possible for this position, including up to twice per year for organizational meetings, with the potential for other in-person events.
