Candid currently has an opportunity for a Senior Product Manager. The Senior Product Manager will own the Candid profile experience, including the tools and initiatives that enable organizations and partners to update and share their information directly through Candid, such as the Seal of Transparency program. This is a high-agency, high-leverage role that sits close to Candid’s core mission and unique position as the primary source of up-to-date information about individual organizations and the social sector as a whole. It is also an opportunity to help pioneer a modern way of working at Candid on a new, lean, AI-native product team. Position: Senior Product Manager
Reporting to: Senior Director of Data Provider Product Management
Supervises: N/A
Schedule: 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday
Compensation: $120,000 - $165,000 (this range is for the NYC area and will be adjusted for other localities; additionally, factors like skills and experience will be considered).
Location: Remote. In-person attendance is expected twice per year during our annual, weeklong all-staff summits. Additional in-person meeting participation is expected at least once per quarter for senior leaders and at least once per month for the executive team. Staff not located in the NYC area are expected to travel for these meetings.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product experience and program initiatives for organization profiles and organization- and partner-contributed data, including: the Candid organization profile, profile editor, the Candid Seal of Transparency program, funder-contributed grants data, profile-driven integrations and workflows, and other related initiatives
- Develop and execute on a product-led strategy to incentivize data contributions as a continuous, virtuous cycle that strengthens Candid’s position in the sector
- Coordinate organization-wide efforts to increase uptake of Candid profile claims, Seals, and other contributed data initiatives, including collaboration with Brand & Marketing, Sector Experience, and Partnerships
- Build trusted relationships with sector partners and create product solutions that support Candid’s efforts to increase representation and visibility of key market segments, like small nonprofits or fiscally sponsored projects
- Run discovery with organizations and other contributors to understand what motivates them to share data and where the friction is, and feed those findings into a prioritized roadmap
- Translate sector insights and customer needs into prioritized requirements, user stories, and technical specifications
- Define, track, and orient decisions around key metrics including user acquisition, adoption, usage, satisfaction, impact, and attributable revenue
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering and Data team leads as equal partners in owning the full product lifecycle, from product discovery, solution ideation, to delivery and continuous optimization
- Work with other product managers to identify high-value ways to increase the utility and ubiquity of Candid profiles and contributed data in Candid search, Candid AI tools, APIs and data, and other partner integration channels
- Evangelize contributed data products and programs through demos, documentation, external and internal presentations, and cross-functional alignment
Requirements
- 5-7 years in product management, ideally with profile, community, marketplace, or other contributor-driven products
- Background in nonprofit/philanthropy sector preferred
- Track record of 0-to-1 launches and of growing and reinventing existing products
- Pragmatic, action-oriented, product-builder mindset, with experience in rapid experimentation and AI-assisted prototyping and an ability to partner with engineering on implementing AI-powered features
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including in building external relationships, representing the organization publicly, and speaking with clarity across technical, business, and sector audiences
- Strong customer empathy and curiosity to drive a deep understanding of user needs
- Data- and outcome-driven approach to feature prioritization and product decisions
- Willingness to perform other duties and special projects as needed/requested.
